  • Day 1 — Arusha to Lake Natron & Engero Sero Waterfalls

Depart Arusha at 7:00 a.m. and drive to Lake Natron via scenic and remote landscapes, enjoying packed lunch en route. Set at the base of Oldoinyo Lengai, Africa’s only active volcano, Lake Natron offers some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery in Tanzania. Upon arrival, explore the area with your guide and a local Maasai guide, walking through a shaded gorge to the Engero Sero Waterfalls. Reach a natural swimming pool surrounded by steep rock walls and cascading spring water, with time to relax and swim. In the evening, settle in for dinner and overnight at Giraffe Eco Camp.

        Best Experience ever
It was amazing to travel with Big Time Adventures in Tanzania. Nelson planned my safari according to my budget, preferences, and schedule and everything was perfect. We spent four days in northern Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable about wildlife, Tanzanian history, and local cultures and he was also very funny. The itinerary was perfect, our vehicle was smooth, the bush lunches and accommodations were excellent.
