  • Day 1. Arrival - Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional Big Time Adventures guide and transferred to Arusha, approximately 1–1.5 hours’ drive. Enjoy scenic views of Mount Meru, coffee plantations, and local villages along the way. On arrival, check in at a comfortable lodge where you can relax and unwind. Later, enjoy a safari briefing covering the journey ahead, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Arusha, preparing for the adventure to begin the next day.

    • Day 2. Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    After an early breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2–3 hour drive. Famous for its ancient baobabs and large elephant herds, Tarangire offers exceptional wildlife viewing. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and diverse birdlife, followed by a picnic lunch inside the park. Later, continue to Karatu for check-in at your lodge, dinner, and overnight, reflecting on a rewarding first safari day.
