Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1 — Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast in Arusha, depart with your Big Time Adventures guide for Tarangire National Park (approximately 2.5–3 hours). Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley, Maasai villages, and rural landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, begin a game drive in the “Kingdom of Elephants,” known for large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spot lions, giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the afternoon game drive. Later, exit the park and drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

    • Day 2 — Ngorongoro National Park

    After breakfast in Karatu, depart with your Big Time Adventures guide for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A short scenic drive through rolling highlands and Maasai villages. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive in the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor hosts abundant wildlife, including the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and black rhino alongside zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and rich birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing your game drive. In the afternoon, begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the early evening and concluding your 2-Day Classic Safari.
