Safari Overview

The Marangu Route, known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is Kilimanjaro’s most iconic and accessible path to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m). Unique among the routes, it offers the comfort of mountain huts with sleeping bunks and dining halls, making it ideal for first-time climbers or those seeking a more comfortable ascent.
Over 7 days, you’ll journey through five distinct climate zones: verdant rainforest with colobus monkeys and exotic birds, heather-covered moorlands with giant lobelias, alpine desert, and the glacier-capped arctic summit zone. Big Time Adventures’ professional guides, porters, and support staff provide full assistance, fresh meals, and safety monitoring throughout, culminating in the life-changing experience of standing atop Africa’s highest point at sunrise.

Best Experience ever It was amazing to travel with Big Time Adventures in Tanzania. Nelson planned my safari according to my budget, preferences, and schedule and everything was perfect. We spent four days in northern Tanzania, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable about wildlife, Tanzanian history, and local cultures and he was also very funny. The itinerary was perfect, our vehicle was smooth, the bush lunches and accommodations were excellent. I highly recommend Big Time Adventures to anyone looking for a safari in Tanzania.
